Aug 14,2018 icinginks 0

August is famous as National Peach Month in the USA. Ronald Regan, the former president of the USA, declared August “Peach Month” and suggested the people of the nation for adding it in their diets. The peach (Prunus persica) is a species of Prunus native of China that bears both juicy & fleshy edible fruits. If you or your loving one’s birthday falls in the month of August then, you may also celebrate it while giving it the flavor of peach. You may prepare a Vanilla Peach layer cake which is the perfect dessert for celebrating weddings and birthdays in summer. A delicate, moist vanilla cake can be prepared while layering it with sweet peaches and cream frosting that contains chunks of fresh peaches. Ingredients:

  • Cake flour: 4 cups

  • Baking powder: 3Tablespoon

  • Butter: 1 cup

  • Salt: ¼ Tablespoon

  • Eggs: 4

  • Sugar Cream: 3/4 cup

  • Sour Cream: 3/4 cup

  • Milk: 1 cup

  • Vanilla Extract: 2 Tablespoon

Ingredients for Peach Frosting:

  • Peeled and sliced peaches: 5 cups

  • Cinnamon: 1 Teaspoon

  • Brown sugar: ¼ cup

  • Nutmeg: 1Teaspoon

  • Salt: 4 to 5 grams

  • Vanilla Extract: 2 Tablespoon

  • Powdered sugar: 1/2 cup

  • Peach: 1 sliced peach

How to prepare the cake:

  1. First of all, preheat your oven to 325°F.

  2. Prepare 3, 8-inch round cake pans. Place a butter paper on its bottom and spray non-stick cooking oil.

  3. Silt the mixture of cake flour, salt, and baking powder in a medium-sized bowl.

  4. Take a stand mixer to beat butter and sugar together while adding eggs slowly in it. Mix well until it turns out to be smooth and spongy.

  5. Add vanilla extract in the sour cream and stir it well.

  6. Add half of the flour mixture in it while mixing it completely. Scrape the sides of the bowl and again mix it with the mixture while adding some milk in it.

  7. Put the remaining flour in the mixture and blend it adding milk in it.

  8. Replace the mixture into 3 round baking pans while distributing it equally.

  9. Put the cake in the preheated oven and reduced the temperature. Bake it at 325 °F for 30 to 35 minutes.

How to prepare peach frosting:

  1. Take half number of the peaches in a bowl. Wash it and cut it into small pieces while removing its seeds. Sprinkle with brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Stir it to coat the mixture completely around the pieces of the fruit and place it on the counter for around 20 minutes.

  2. Chop the remaining peeled peach slices and place it in the refrigerator until ready to use.

  3. Prepare a puree of the peaches, brown sugar mixture in a blender on high speed for around 30 seconds or longer, until it turns out to be smooth. Pure the puree in a mesh strainer and set it over a small bowl and remove large pieces of the fruit.

  4. Keep the frosting in the refrigerator until ready to use.

The final assemblage of the cake: You have three round cakes to assemble. Place a single layer of peach frosting between the first and second cakes and repeat this with the second and the third cake. Frost the sides with an offset spatula. Smooth both the sides and top of the cake until even. You may garnish it with slices of the fresh peaches if desired.

Customization of a peach layer cake:

You may also customize it with your or your loving one’s edible image on it. You need an edible printer and Pre-cut Circle Frosting sheets for preparing an edible picture. You’ve to take a selfie of your loving one with his/her friends as it shown to you on the image. Remove the printed image from its backing plastic layer and place it on the cake’s top. The cake with an edible image topper will look innovatively attractive.
