blog-1 (1) I know there is a lot of nostalgia attached towards events like Birthdays & Anniversaries, but why to wait for them to come, to enjoy a Photo Cake. After long and tiring weekdays, weekends are the time for the whole family to get together, enjoy and have a lot of fun & what else can give you more joy than a photo cake. Edible images not only look great but are a great way to express your love, affection, and creativity. Edible images have become very popular; the reason is simple people love to enjoy their good memories over and over again. You may have seen a variety of photo cakes in bakeries or at your social media accounts, and they might look challenging to make, but believe us they are not. We will help you in the process! blog-1-2 You may think about how we can put a photo on a cake, do we need to put the entire cake through the printer. No, you don’t need to do that, edible images are printed on edible paper with edible ink using an inkjet printer preferably from Canon or Epson, and we at Icinginks tweak them to perform best with edible images. ‘Frosting sheet’ or ‘Icing sheet’ is the paper that must be used for printing the edible photo. Frosting sheet from Icinginks is a thin layer of icing that has plastic at its back. Frosting sheet’ or ‘Icing sheet’ slides through a printer like a typical paper and once you take the plastic support off, they stick to the icing on top of your cake. The printing process is similar to how you get a regular print, and it is as follows:- 1. Buy an excellent edible ink printer for yourself preferably one from canon or Epson. 2. Make your cakes, cookies or marshmallows and allow them to cool. 3. Just connect the edible ink printer to your pc or any other mobile device. 4. Insert the Frosting Sheet into your edible ink printer. 5. Select the image you want to get printed your cake and then choose the print option. 6. Smoothen the surface of your cake and decorate it with some frosting. 7. Check the consistency of the icing on the top of your cake. 8. Check that icing is not spread too far out everywhere. 9. Eventually, remove the plastic back of the frosting sheet and place it on the top of your cake. 10. When the image is placed onto the cake, ensure that the icing is moist. As it is moisture in the frosting, that ensures that your image sticks on the cake. Gently remove the air bubbles from the surface with your hand. blog-1-3 One useful tip from Icinginks to go along with the photo cake is that, hot hands can tear off the printed pictures. If you have a warm hand, you should wash your hands in cold water and dry them thoroughly
