Frosting Sheets for Cake Decoration

Feb 10,2017 icinginks 0

Have you ever tried frosting sheets for cake decoration? If you have never worked with sugar sheets or frosting sheets, then you are in for a genuine treat. These consumable papers are used in more than one way for cake decorations. These edible papers are simple to use and add a wow factor to the cake with little effort. Have a digital image or any camera picture turned into an edible image using Icinginks frosting sheets.

Print the sheets with edible ink printers or paint with edible colors. Each frosting sheet by Icinginks is made as a very thin piece of flavorless icing, white in color with a plastic backing sheet that easily adheres to buttercream, fondant, chocolate, isomalt, and royal icing.

Are Frosting Sheets Safe To Consume?

The Icinginks edible papers are Vegan, Kosher and FDA approved, creating the best possible vibrant edible images. So, rest assured that the frosting sheets are absolutely safe to consume for all.

Are Frosting Sheets Sweet In Taste?

Frosting sheets are basically made of sugar layers. Our Icing sheets have a very slight, sweet flavor. However, as the icing is generally absorbed into the cake/cupcakes, their individual taste is not noticeable.

How To Use & Store The Frosting Sheets?

  • Store the frosting sheets properly from preventing the loss of moisture. Follow the package instruction to the last dot.

  • Avoid excessive exposure to heat or cold and frequent fluctuations in temperature while handling the edible sheets.

  • When you need to use an edible icing sheet, take it out of the bag and immediately seal the bag to preserve the remaining sheets.

  • Try warming up (or cooling down) the sheet to be used a little, at a comfortable room temperature.

  • Do not pull off the accepted backing until the very last moment you want to apply it on the frosting.

  • Extra drying time may be required in hot, humid weather.

  • If the sheets start looking dry, you may introduce some moisture by spraying a fine mist of water, using an airbrush, or any other fine water-misting device.

  • Do not place brittle icing sheets into a printer.

Icing Sheets can be placed on a wide range of frosting, ranging from buttercream to chocolate ganache. However, don’t put the sheets on a frozen frosting. If you have put the cake in the refrigerator to set the frosting, let it rest at room temperature for some time. The icing sheets or sugar papers can be colored with petal and luster dust, shimmer sprays, or food coloring markers apart from edible printing. It is a very easy process to decorate a cake and impress others by creating incredibly beautiful cakes using your own images.

Moreover, you can cut the sheets in different shapes for different desserts. Utilize scissors, a specialty cut, paper guillotine, or paper punches to cut the papers. The frosting sheets work great on royal icing for cookies as well.
