These custom-ordered chocolate truffle cupcakes were for our beloved veterinarian, who happens to be the father of a lifelong friend of mine, who ordered them...hence the personalized prescription and hand-painted & luster-dusted homemade animal chocolates (wish I hadn’t luster dusted). When we were discussing the order, my friend suggested that I could include a personalized message to “Dr. G”, as she put it. It wasn’t until I was creating that message, on what would have been my dad and uncle’s birthday, that I realized that my uncle was also referred to as “Dr. G”. It felt like a hug... So, it meant a lot to me to make these, for several reasons.
